Question: Should I call my disability lawyer every time I go to the doctor?
Answer: Well, that depends.
If you WANT to alert us to every appointment right away, no problem! Some clients like to text us details after every appointment, and we appreciate this. But it isn’t absolutely necessary.
However, please DO write down the dates of your medical treatment in a calendar or journal. Also, keep track of any new or changed prescriptions, symptoms, and diagnoses. When we contact you for updates, and it will be easier to remember and share all this information if you have written it down.
If you have a medical emergency, DO let your disability attorney know as soon as you can.
We love to hear from our SSDI/SSI clients. But, I cannot speak for other attorneys or law firms. So, if you have another attorney helping you, be sure to ask them this question!
